God’s Window

God’s Window. Panorama Route, Mpumalanga. South Africa.
April 2012.

The Drakensberg Escarpment drops sharply – almost vertically – to meet the hazy lowveld at God’s Window. Dense plantations of macadamia and banana trees, tall stands of eucalyptus and pine, and the savanna of Kruger National Park comprise the lands that lay below and east.

This post concludes the series on the Panorama Route – named for its breathtaking vistas – outside Graskop, Mpumalanga, near South Africa’s border with Swaziland.
